Winter Tires for Guelph Drivers

Guelph sits higher than much of the region, and its rural edges and county roads can drift over quickly in a squall. Drivers heading out on Wellington Road 124, Highway 6 or Hanlon Parkway see a mix of snow-covered back roads and busy highway, so a winter tire that handles both matters.

SVS Tires & Wheels is at 990 Bishop St N in Cambridge, about 20 km from downtown Guelph — roughly 25–30 minutes via Wellington Road 124 or Highway 24 (route estimate; traffic varies). The shop is on the Cambridge side closest to Guelph, near the Hespeler end of the city.

Winter tires for county roads and highways

If you live outside the city or drive rural roads, a winter tire with an aggressive, open tread clears snow well and keeps traction in deeper conditions. For mostly highway driving to the 401 or Hwy 6, a winter tire with stiffer shoulders keeps steering precise. Pickup and SUV owners can choose winter tires sized for heavier loads. Every winter tire we sell carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol.

Trucks and SUVs welcome

We install on cars, SUVs, vans and trucks. Mounting is done on a touchless machine that protects alloy and custom finishes, and every tire is balanced with Road Force equipment. TPMS sensors are serviced and reset.

Make swaps easy

A second set of wheels with your winters already mounted shortens each seasonal swap and keeps salt off your good wheels. Browse Wheel & Tire Packages. No space at home? Storage is $80 per season. A $6 eco fee applies per new tire.
