Winter Tires for Brantford Drivers

Brantford drivers face open, windswept stretches on Highway 24 and Highway 403, where blowing snow and black ice can form fast. Inside the city, the hills along the Grand River and older side streets get slick after a freeze. A dedicated winter tire stays flexible in the cold and keeps grip when all-seasons start to slide.

SVS Tires & Wheels is at 990 Bishop St N in Cambridge, about 31 km from downtown Brantford — roughly 35–45 minutes via Highway 24 (route estimate; traffic varies). Many Brantford customers plan a single visit for tires, installation and storage so they only make the trip once a season.

Picking a winter tire for Highway 24 and the 403

Open-country highway driving calls for a winter tire that stays stable in crosswinds and at speed while still clearing slush. If you mostly drive in town, an ice-focused studless tire gives the best stopping on packed snow. We will lay out a few choices and explain the trade-offs. Every winter tire we sell carries the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol.

One trip, done right

Call ahead or book online and we will have your tires ready when you arrive. Tires are mounted on a touchless machine, balanced with Road Force equipment, and TPMS sensors are serviced and reset. Leave your off-season set with us — storage is $80 per season — so next spring is a quick swap. A $6 eco fee applies per new tire.
